The need for free legal services continues to grow, and our small team cannot meet it alone. Volunteer attorneys and law students make it possible for us to protect rights, preserve dignity, and expand access to justice for vulnerable communities.
Our workshops are a critical service for the communities we serve. We meet people where they are—physically and linguistically—offering support in the places they already trust: community centers, hospitals, courts, churches, and other neighborhood spaces.
These workshops create meaningful impact for families, even if you’re not able to take on a full case. In under 3.5 hours, lawyers and law students connect, mentor, and serve side by side. Whether you’re looking to build experience, make a difference, or fulfill your State Bar pro bono reporting, there’s a place for you here.
We believe in a client-centered approach, and we work closely with our clients to understand their needs and goals. We provide personalized attention and guidance throughout the legal process, and we are committed to achieving the best possible outcome for each and every client.

When a young person with a developmental disability turns 18, families can suddenly lose the legal authority to help them make critical decisions. Our conservatorship workshops guide families step-by-step through the court process so they can protect their loved one’s health, safety, and independence. At this workshop, you would work directly with a family to review the forms for accuracy with our teams support.
We simplify complex forms, use technology to reduce barriers, and stand beside families during one of the most vulnerable transitions of their lives.

Every family deserves a plan. Our estate planning workshops help community members create wills, advance health care directives, powers of attorney, and trusts that protect their loved ones and prevent future crises. This allows families to plan for passing the home to the next generation. If gives immigrant families the peace of mind knowing there is a power of attorney for powers related to their minor children if they suddenly become unavailable. At this workshop, you work directly with a family to talk through their goals, needs, and preferences. Then you review documents prepared by our office with the family.
We make generational stability accessible — not just available.

Errors in filing can delay families from settling an estate and accessing inherited property or assets, obtaining needed powers through conservatorship, or caring for children through guardianship. In partnership with the Orange County Superior Court, our workshops help self-represented litigants understand and resolve probate notes efficiently and correctly. At this workshop, you will sit with a self-represented litigant and assist them in reviewing the notes from the probate examiner. Our team will provide you with the tools to walk the family through answering those notes.
We expand access without reinventing the system — increasing capacity, reducing delays, and helping families move forward with clarity and dignity.
